Livingston Lodge #76 F & AM "166 years of service"

History

Livingston lodge was chartered January 10th, 1856, to provide a masonic lodge for freeborn men to join together and help the community of Pinckney.  The first temple was located near the railway station on D-19, then moving to main street, where from the upper floors brothers met monthly for many years.  In 1976 the new temple on Mann Street was opened, designed for meeting the needs of the community for years to come.  Today we continue to meet in that building and are proud to present it as one of the most handsome Masonic temples currently active.

Monthly events

On a regular monthly basis lodge events at the Pinckney masonic center include, our regular meeting the first Tuesday, beginning at 7 Pm.  Brothers gather in the down stair's dining room for coffee, conversation and fellowship prior to every meeting.  We are always excited to welcome traveling brothers and men who are interested in becoming a Mason.  Look for other activities on our web site or contact one of our officers for our exciting events.

Where else would you see us?

Brothers of the Livingston Lodge are frequently seen participating in many community activities, we participate in the community providing services like the Child identification project (CHiPs) , MDOT roadside cleanup, supporting "Anti-bulling" training for schools and Scholarships for youth.  Behind the scenes Masons are active in community food bank support, Bikes for books programs and other school activities to help community youth get good educations and learn the importance of staying in school.  Livingston lodge supports Scouting USA as the meeting place for Scouts and with sponsorship for Cub Scout packs and Daisy Troops.  You may not notice, and many members won't say but lodge brothers serve many places in the community as leaders, adviser's coach's, chaperones and many other things.

Masonic Leadership

Freemasons are a unique group, we are the oldest fraternity in the world and have always selected our leadership from the band of brothers.  Every man meets "on the level", once a man steps foot into the active lodge room, his community status is null and void, from manual laborer to community service, corporate executive and even elected official, each man is equal.  Every man's opinion is valued and heard, we elect our offices on the premise of his inner self and with the ideals that our fraternal goal is to "Make Good men better".  Our leadership progresses, if they meet prerequisites yearly in December and new leadership is installed for the next year as appropriate.

Interested in becoming a Mason

Are you looking for a fraternal bond that expands beyond the reach of any other?  Would you like to be a part of something larger then yourself, while having a family of brothers? Do you have a desire to support the activities and people in your community?  If you are looking for any of these things and so much more, you should consider becoming a Mason.

For details

If you know a man who is a Mason, just ask and the ball starts rolling.  If not please contact our Lodge Secretary Scot Pardo, at the website number or simply stop in when your see the light on.  You will get to know a man who will help.  You can also click on the Grand Lodge link below and follow the becoming a Mason link.
